Sports and dance teams
Orlando runs on tournaments. Cheer, dance, soccer, baseball, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex on Disney property. A villa works better than a block of hotel rooms for a team, and usually costs less per head.
Why teams choose villas
- A full kitchen, which matters when a squad eats at six in the morning before a call time.
- Communal space for team meetings, costume and kit prep, and the evening after a bad round.
- Laundry on site, which anyone who has travelled with a dance team will understand.
- Per-head cost that generally comes in under a hotel block once meals are counted.
Practicalities
Bring the schedule when you call. Tournament trips are unusual in that arrival and departure days are fixed and non-negotiable, and that changes which villas are genuinely available rather than nearly available.
Chaperone and parent accommodation is worth planning at the same time. In most cases the answer is a second villa in the same community rather than a hotel.
