Epic Universe learned to say goodnight
On July 7, Epic debuted Universal Celestial Goodnight, a park-closing spectacular across Celestial Park’s lagoon with seven million LEDs, 350 fountains and a fireworks finale. It’s included with admission and it finally gives Epic a reason to stay past dinner. Pair it with Stardust Racers at dusk and that’s the best closing hour in Orlando right now.
Halloween Horror Nights 35: the earliest start ever
HHN 35 runs Aug 28 – Nov 1, across 48 select nights, the event’s longest calendar yet, under the “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares” banner with icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow presiding. Seven of ten houses are announced, including Stranger Things (Season 5), Sinners, and a full-tilt INVASION alien-abduction house. It’s at Universal Studios Florida (not Epic), it’s a separate night ticket, and it is absolutely not for the under-13 crowd, which is what villa movie nights are for.

CityWalk shuffle
Five Guys is moving into the old Whopper Bar this summer, Fat One’s Hot Dogs replaces the Hot Dog Hall of Fame, and the beloved Universal Legacy Store returns in the former Epic preview space. Still ahead in 2027: Category 10, the Luke Combs waterfront venue.
Mark the calendar (and the closure)
- Volcano Bay closes Oct 26, 2026 – Mar 24, 2027 for a five-month refurbishment, the biggest planning landmine of the fall. Summer visits are unaffected; details in the water-parks guide.
- Holidays at Universal: Nov 14 – Jan 3, with the Macy’s parade, Grinchmas, and the first holiday overlays inside Epic’s Celestial Park and Wizarding World.
